Meet Taylor

Help us welcome Taylor Outram next time you see her at the studio. We are excited to add some new faces to the team to help better serve our students and enhance your experience here at ISY.

Taylor has been practicing yoga at ISY for a little over a year now, but just joined the Front Desk Team this month. To learn more about Taylor read on below…

Where are you from?

I am from a small town called Bridgeport in the High Sierras of California, but I have lived in Southern Indiana for 5 years now.

Where are you going to school and what are you studying?

I am currently attending The University of Louisville with the intention to participate in the Dental Hygiene program next year.

How long have you been practicing at Inner Springs?

I have been practicing at Inner Spring Yoga since January of 2018. That is when my yoga practice truly began. Although I had tried a few other classes before that, including hot yoga, I never really took to it before Inner Spring.

What is your favorite yoga pose and why?

My current favorite yoga pose is headstand because it is challenging for me now, and it is also a building block in my inversion practice which is one of the reasons yoga first interested me so much physically. I craved the strength and control that inversions like headstands and handstands seem to represent, and I have learned to be very patient with and grateful for my body in the process.

What do you like to do for fun? Hobbies?

In my spare time I enjoy camping and hiking with friends and my dog, as well as travelling and seeing new places.

Words you live by…

Favorite quote as of lately is from Anna Quindlen, "The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself."

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

If I could go anywhere in the world I would chose Ireland. The beauty geographically is enough of a draw on it's own. I would also love to experience the culture, especially the music.

Fun Fact:

I have cracked my head open twice in the same spot, but still have never broken a bone.

We look forward to seeing Taylor more around the studio!
